what is necessary to do before to install a GNS 430W on a C182E with a French registration ? (EASA STC)
Basically you need the following: 1) the modification is approved (or recognized as approved) by EASA; 2) acces to the data package associated to the modification: to embody (SB or equivalent), to operate (FMS, if any) and to keep the continuous airworthiness (ICA or equivalent); and 3) license or agreement of the modification holder to use his design on your benefit.
I hope this helps you.

Thanks a lot for your reply.
i agree with you.
Now my question is :
How i can know if this STC is already approuved by EASA.
I contacted GARMIN and they said they have no idea if a STC exist. they asked me to contact Cessna.
I asked to Cessna and i had the same answer and no reply from EASA department
What can I do now ?
Go to EASA website under STC List & verify if the FAA STC number comes on the search results
Verify EASA will accept an alteration performed by a U.S. A&P IA, or a US Part 145 repair Station. There is no Bilateral agreement with EASA or the French DGAC to accept maintenance performed by U.S Certified agencies. If you are an EASA 145, then you are OK.
