Local Aviation Business Leader Passes...

Mr. Tracey Lynn Potter, 48, of Greencastle, PA., died suddenly Tuesday evening, March 5, 2013, at Chambersburg Hospital in Chambersburg, PA.

I first met Tracey Potter when he became the owner and president of Hagerstown Aircraft Services Inc., [MD.] which he acquired in 1997 and I am proud to call him my friend.

Tracey's life was taken away from us much too soon and sometimes it is hard to understand why tragic things like this happen to such good people. However, we should not dwell on the loss of our dear friend, husband, son and brother. Today let’s celebrate his life and remember all of the remarkable things he worked for and how wonderful his life was.

It is incredibly sad that his life ended so soon and I cannot put into words how much our local aviation industry will miss him. Tracey was a positive person and would not want us to be sad today. If he were here he would tell us to cheer up, smile and remember all of the great memories we all shared. Even though he may be gone, Tracey's memory will live on in all of us forever. Tracey, I appreciate your professionalism, dedication and friendship and we will never forget you.

Wow, 48 is indeed too young. Sounds like he packed a lot of personality and influance of others in those 48 short years. Something some people dont do that no matter how many years they are on this earth.
