FAA web site not current?

Interestingly, the last time that the FAA AD Database was updated for effectivity was Jan. 29, 2010.  (today is March 2)

Budget cuts?  Do not use this page as a current source of info!

Well your post started me looking. If the AD section is a month old how about others sections on FAA.gov.

The Advisory Circular at http://www.faa.gov/regulations_policies/advisory_circulars/ are 6 months old, dated Aug 18, 2009. I reviewed my ATP What's New and see that we added two revised AC's in January; 21-2L and 21-19B. Both still showing the old version on the FAA web site.

The FAR page is a little better with a date of Feb 4 2010 but it is lacking two amendments we added on 2/19/10.

But wait, I think it is important to understand it takes time to republish, including the FAA. The Federal Register is the starting point. Each of us is republishing this data with our own intelligence and indexing added. We are not as quick as we would like at times also.
I think the take away from this is to be aware and take notice of the update or revision you are using and act accordingly. Maybe some extra research may be needed.

On the FAA Airworthiness Directives page, click the the link near the top of the page to search for ADs in the Regulatory & Guidance Library (RGL). The library was lasted updated March 4, 2010.

If you cannot find the link, here is the url to the site:
