Aircraft Maintenance Technicians Association (AMTA) Update

Greetings everyone,

Five years ago Members of the Aircraft Maintenance Technicians Association showed their support in helping raise the $10,000.00 to have Charles E. Taylor's name placed on The Wall of Honor at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center. The AMTA has also donated a bronze bust of Charlie to the Hazy Center thanks to our member's generosity.

The AMTA was created in 2002 to promote and educate Charles E. Taylor to the public. This would not have been possible without the support of our members. I thank each and everyone of you for lending your voice to ensuring history does not forget an individual who deserves to be remembered. Charlie did not seek fortune and fame. He simply had a task set before him and he focused his full attention to the job; just like the men and women who followed in his footsteps.

The AMTA continues to achieve our goals with your support. Currently we are raising funds to purchase a bust of Charlie to be donated to the United States Army Aviation Museum. It is our hope to donate this important bust later this year.

As always, thank you for your support.

Sincerely,

Ken MacTiernan

Director AMTA
