Small Aircraft Regs Go Under FAA Microscope

Normal, utility, acrobatic and commuter aircraft certified under Part 23 will be included in a comprehensive review of the regulations that is being launched later this month by FAA.

The agency will schedule at least public meetings three two-day meetings to explore potential future policy rulemaking for small aircraft, covering not only certification standards, but other regulations concerning small aircraft, including maintenance and operations. FAA wants comment from manufacturers, pilots, owners, mechanics, instructors and other interested parties.
