September FAA Safety Briefing is now available online

The September/October 2011 issue of FAA Safety Briefing presents the wide world of flying and showcases many of the training and educational opportunities available in aviation. Whether it’s earning a new rating or certificate, experiencing the thrill of soaring, or getting more familiar with glass cockpits, there are several fun and exciting ways of expanding and sharpening your general aviation skill set. Articles on these, and other aviation endeavors, will help you develop a plan of continuing education and excellence in your flying.
In this issue you can also read about how to care for an aging GA aircraft, learn precautions pilots of rental and multi-owner aircraft can take before flying, and become familiar with the latest in efforts to improve runway safety—some of which may also affect your next knowledge or practical exam. In addition, the issue’s Checklist department takes a look at the legalities of iPad usage in flight. Be sure to check out all this issue has to offer!
