Cracking, Crazing Normal in Sensor Element

PPG has confirmed that cracking or crazing in the sensor element area of electrically heated windshields on Model 560XL, 650, 680, and 750 aircraft is normal. This type of cracking or crazing happens over time as the windshields age and are subjected to normal flight conditions.

If the sensing element is measuring within the proper resistance range, continued use of the windshield is acceptable.
