to install a warning placard on the 8 thrust reverser cowls

on each aeroplane in accordance with the instructions

defined in Airbus Service Bulletin A340-78-4044.

 

In order to reinforce the thrust reverser locking mechanism,

EASA AD 2010-0044 required installation of a new modified

primary lock and a new modified actuator on 10 critical thrust

reverser pivoting doors out of the 16 installed on each

aeroplane.

The possibility to install the same TR cowl on different

aeroplane serial numbers rendered necessary to manage the

interchangeability conditions, which were correctly defined in

the modification service bulletins mandated by EASA AD

2010-0044.

However, only 10 out of 16 thrust reverser pivoting doors are

required to be modified by the above AD. In order to avoid any

maintenance error during the C-Ducts replacement, EASA

recommends, after accomplishment of

EASA AD 2010-0044 requirements:
